Awarded the Scott Logic prize for Excellence in Computer Science (2010). Awarded by Morgan Stanley for achieving exam results within the top ten (2009). Awarded best project manager for 24-hour charity web development marathon, Webdurance. Invited by Allan Gibb (OBE) to advise 30 universities and organisations on how to encourage entrepreneurship in students for the International Entrepreneurship Educators Programme. Universities represented included Yale, Cambridge, Dublin, Cardiff, Nottingham and Durham. Invited to House of Lords discussion hosted by the Earl of Errol and Lord Ahmed of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Entrepreneurship to represent the voice of British entrepreneurial students. Completed courses in Safe Handling techniques for children with learning difficulties (Nottingham Council), Epilepsy management and treatment (NHS) and Facilitated Communication for people with motor difficulties. |

Co-founder and co-president of Entrepreneurs Durham, a student-led organisation working to encourage student entrepreneurship and stimulate a thriving entrepreneurial community in the North East. Co-founder of web start-up Voboro.com. Was successful in arranging meetings with prospective venture capitalists. No longer trading. Worked on the founding team of web-based start-up Durham Student Discounts. Duties involved graphic design, cold calling and visiting over 100 local businesses as a sales representative. Student representative for first year Computer Science undergraduates. |
